Tooth Fairies

Lily is the world’s first tooth fairy! Her distinct colors are silver and blue. Because she is busy training and managing Tooth Fairy, HQ, she does not go out into the field very often. She takes on only a few select new human children every month. She still loves the human children she once watched over very much. Sometimes, if she is near the home of a child she used to watch over, she will drop in just to see how they are doing – leaving behind her silver fairy dust as always, just so they know she was there.

Lily is very passionate about training the newly bloomed fairies and instilling in them the love and care they must have when watching over their human children. Lily is the only one who can sense when a new tooth fairy has bloomed, giving her a connection to every tooth fairy that lives. To learn more about Lily, read her origin story here.

Pearl is our quiet and thoughtful bookworm. She is shy, soft-spoken, has a gentle spirit, and curious mind. She loves to read on her free time and walking in the forest surrounding Tooth Fairy HQ. She flies from tree to tree watching the various animals roam the forest. She especially loves observing the rabbits and deer. Her favorite books are Anne of Green Gables and To Kill a Mocking Bird, but above all, she loves reading about the history of the human beings she watches over. Pearl has the most beautiful hunter green wings that glow with what looks like bolts of lightening.

When Pearl’s flower bloomed there were beautiful green pearls in the flower with her. Although Lily had never seen anything like that before, she knew the pearls were special, so she fashioned a necklace out of the pearls and placed them around Pearl’s neck, and named her after the beautiful jewels.

When Pearl leaves a child’s home, she leaves behind a green fairy dust.

Yogi loves baseball. Yogi’s love for the game started after he discovered a Yogi Berra baseball card on the nightstand of one of the children he watches over. Yogi Berra became his favorite baseball player of all time and inspired Yogi’s love for catching. When he’s not gathering teeth and looking after his human children, Yogi is either watching a baseball game, or playing a game with his friends. He has such a passion for baseball that he talked the head tooth fairy, Lily, into starting a baseball league for tooth fairies. Because of Yogi, Tooth Fairy HQ now has eight baseball teams and they play their own world series every year. His favorite team is the New York Yankees, but mostly Yogi loves watching the best catchers in the MLB. Some of his favorite catchers are Johnny Bench, Yogi Berra, Yadier Molina, and Mike Piazza.

Like all tooth fairies, Yogi leaves behind remnants of fairy dust that falls from his wings as they flap. When Yogi leaves a child’s home, he leaves behind a light blue fairy dust.

Ivy is one of the oldest tooth fairies. She is relied upon by all fairies – new and old, but none more than Lily. She helps newly bloomed fairies overcome their fears and feel confident about their ability to be a tooth fairy. She is a comforter and encourager. She is strong and confident, but gentle and understanding. Next to taking care of the newly bloomed fairies, her passion is singing. On stormy nights, when the thunder booms and the wind and rain overwhelm the forest, she will gather the young fairies and comfort them by singing to them until the storm passes. When she has free time, she walks through the forest softly singing, and the animals, like the fairies, gather to her as she sings.

Ivy gets her name from the Ivy like vine that began to show on her at a young age. As she grew in her gifts of encouragement and friendship, the vines grew brighter and longer. Like a beacon, Ivy’s vines glow bright when she flies through the night gathering the teeth of the human children she oversees.

When Ivy leaves a child’s home, she leaves behind a turquoise colored fairy dust.

Frost came to us late one winter out of a special flower that is able to bloom in snow. Almost all fairies are born in the blooming flowers of Spring, but not Frost. When he emerged from his flower, he had tiny ice crystals all over him that shone in the moonlight. He shivered only for a second, until he quickly adjusted to his surroundings. He shook the crystals off his wings and quickly took flight. From then on, Frost loved the snow. Anything he could do in the snow he would. He took up hobbies like skiing, snowboarding, and ice hockey, and waits with excitement for the winter every year. When he has free time, he travels the world to find and play in the snow. Frost loves making snowballs and rough housing with the animals of the forest.

Like Yogi, when Frost leaves a child’s home, he leaves behind a light blue fairy dust.

Daisy came to us out of the first bloom of Spring, on a cool crisp morning, just as the sun was rising. What started out as tiny specks of gold in Daisy’s hair, turned into long streaks of gold as she grew older. Though the streaks in her hair are always aglow, the streaks grow brighter as the sun rises and dim as the sun sets. Daisy is very gentle and has a passion for animals. When she is not watching over her human children, Daisy tends to the animals of the forest surrounding Tooth Fairy HQ. She tends to the wounded, and binds up their their wounds, caring for them until they have recovered. She also helps the animals restore habitats destroyed by storms and nurtures babies left orphaned.

When Daisy leaves a child’s home, she leaves behind a gold fairy dust.

Jack came to us through the bloom of an Evening Primrose and is the only fairy named after a human child. Jack was the name of one of Lily’s most beloved human children. He was a natural big brother who took the orphaned children in his neighborhood under his “wings”. He was poor, but what he had he gave to others. Not long after Jack bloomed, Lily noticed the same kind of heart in Jack, so for the first time in the history of tooth fairies, she decided to name a tooth fairy after a human child. Jack is that special. Jack has a natural love and affection for his fellow tooth fairies. What he has, he instinctively gives to others. When he sees tooth fairies facing difficult circumstances, he wants to help them.

Not only is Jack like a big brother, he is a natural flyer. His wings are strong and capable of flying through the toughest storms. Because of his natural flying abilities, Jack became the resident flying coach to tooth fairies. Finally, Jack is a huge college basketball fan. His two favorite teams are the Arizona Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks. Every year during March Madness, he gets all the tooth fairies together, decorates HQ, and everyone picks their favorite team.

When Jack leaves a child’s home, he leaves behind a gold fairy dust.

Bee, loves playing his electric guitar. After hearing one of his human children playing an electrical guitar, he was captivated by the sound of the guitar and wanted to learn to play. Lily bought him books and videos to help he learn to play.

Bee is a playful, joyful, and optimistic tooth fairy. Unfortunately, one night, during a visit to collect a tooth, Bee got distracted by a collection of old vinyls, he failed to recognize the family cat approaching. You see, although tooth fairies can cloak themselves from being seen by humans, they cannot hide themselves from animals. Before Bee could fly away, the cat had one of Bee’s wings in his mouth, tearing the top of his right wing. Bee was unable to fly on his own after that, but that was not the end of his tooth fairy journey. Like Bugsy, Jack helped Bee find a way. To learn more about Bee’s journey, click here.

When Bee and his best friend Cheddar leave a child’s home, they leave behind an orange fairy dust.

Breeze came to us from a California Poppy flower in later April. When Breeze’s flower bloomed, and it was time for her to take flight, she was too afraid. It was a breezy day and she could feel the wind pushing against her wings. Her instincts told her to fly, but she was afraid she was not strong enough. Breeze sat down on her California Poppy, frozen in fear. Tooth Fairy Lily could sense that a tooth fairy had bloomed and like always, waited for the new tooth fairy’s instincts to bring them to headquarters, but for the first time in tooth fairy history, the new tooth fairy did not arrive. Lily could sense Breeze’s fear, so, along with Ivy and Jack, she went to find Breeze and bring her home. When Lily and the others arrived, Breeze was still with her flower, shaking and confused, but as soon as she saw Lily, Ivy, and Jack, she was comforted and her fear slowly faded away. Lily and Jack helped Breeze fly to Tooth Fairy, HQ. Despite training and encouragement from Jack, Breeze was still afraid to fly. In Breeze’s mind, she was not strong enough. However, that all changed in just one day. To learn more about Breeze’s story, click here.

Dhalia came to us from the Arabian Night Dhalia, a flower for which she was named. She is very motherly and nurturing. She is generous and kind to the newly bloomed tooth fairies. She works closely with both Ivy and Lily to ensure the new tooth fairies are taken care of. Dhalia finds her purpose and calling in taking care of the new fairies and making them feel at home. She sets up their rooms and shows them around Tooth Fairy, HQ. When she is not taking care of the newly bloomed fairies, she loves to dance. Whether it’s the Salsa, Ball Room Dancing, the Merengue, the Cha-Cha, or the Mambo, she wants to dance whenever she can. She has a wardrobe full of different dance attire, from ballroom gowns, to Salsa skirts and dresses. She has a collection of maracas from different parts of the world. Dhalia organizes semi-annual dances for Tooth Fairy HQ.

When Dhalia leaves a child’s home, she leaves behind a crimson colored fairy dust.

Dallas emerged from his flower with a southern drawl and a passion for horses. This might explain why he is obsessed with cowboys and the old west. His favorite place to visit is Tombstone, Arizona. He has watched reenactments of the Gun Fight at the OK Corral more times than he can count. He has read everything there is on famous cowboys like Billy the Kid, Wild Bill Hickok, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Butch Cassidy, and Jesse James. He loves to practice roping, but tooth fairies don’t have horses, so he practices on his best friend, a field mouse named Doc, after his favorite cowboy and because his whiskers reminded Dallas of Doc’s mustache. Dallas and Doc are inseparable. Dallas even made Doc his own cowboy hat.

Like Dhalia, when Dallas leaves a child’s home, he leaves behind a crimson colored fairy dust.

Bugsy is a mischievous tyke who loves playing pranks on his fellow tooth fairies. When he emerged from his flower his wings had not fully developed so he was unable to fly. He found his home on the ground with the different bugs of the forest. He loves playing in the dirt with the different insects such as ants and beetles. He wanted to be a tooth fairy so badly, but he couldn’t fly. Thankfully, Jack was there to encourage Bugsy and help him find a way. Jack realized that Bugsy had become best friend’s with a female ant Bugsy affectionately named Annie. Jack went to Lily with an idea—Annie could become Bugsy’s wings. Lily thought it was an excellent idea and endued Annie’s wings with magic, so she could take Bugsy wherever he needed to go.

Bugsy’s playful character rubbed off on Annie. Often times, Bugsy and Annie will hide a child’s coin in the child’s shoe, sock, clothes drawer, coat pocket, or any other place they find amusing. They always leave behind a playful note for the child, urging them to find his coin.

When Bugsy and Annie leave a child’s home, they leave behind a champagne colored fairy dust.
